FIRST PLACE AWARD, California Home and Design Awards 2004; Category: Home over 3,000 square feet. Featured in the August 2003 issue of CALIFORNIA HOME AND DESIGN:
"Culbertson tackled the interior from the gound up, and his perfectionistic sense of detailing reflects throughout. Half ot the surfaces are light absorbing, half are light reflecting. He mixed even amounts of stone, glass, wood, iron, fabric and combined velvets, wools, silks, linen, woven tapestry and chenille that subtley interact and provide contrasting textures. The colors include taupe, coffee, camel and beige with bright primary or black and gold accents. He achieved his goal, giving the massive spaces continuity of flow and making them warm and inviting." |
